I’d love to send you pictures of my favorite trees in Medellín, Colombia. Every day, I greet a Ceiba tree growing between tall buildings. Like you, I touch the aerial roots of an enormous ficus—it looks like a tiny, bony hand hanging in the air, longing to be noticed. I feel deeply grateful to those who planted these trees that make my morning walks so wonderful. Thank you for sharing your visions.
Thank you for sharing that, Ana. Would love to see them. I love the image of the bony hand and the longing for connection. Trees operate on a different timescale, a daily source of awe.
A lovely evocative piece. Your heart continues to blossom in life and on the page.
I’m a tree hugger too. Like you, a good friend introduced me to the practice years ago. I look forward to hugging trees with you in Boise in the near future.
Good luck on the next chapter of your journey
Excited to hear about it in future pieces. Much love to you, my friend
Thank you so much Dominic!

Such an evocative read. Thank you for posting. Good luck with whatever comes next
Thank you, Michelle :)
What a beautiful read. I must be a latent tree hugger because I teared up so many times while reading. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing that. My favorite is just palm against the bark. Somehow it's very connecting and calming. :)
Yes, I’ve progressed to that recently! One day hugging 😆
All the best Frederik for your journey ahead, the article is quite moving.
Thank you, Aditi!
Oh wow! Best of luck with your next chapter! Would love to hear more about this!
Thanks, David! See you when I'm back in ny :)
